Tachometer Reading High

The tach on my boat works, but it appears to be reading high. Is there an adjustment on the tach or has it gone bad?

There is usually an adjustment on the back of the tach for the number of ?poles on your rectifier?. I had this problem with an older mercury and a new tach, you should be able to find the correct setting for your specific motor on the engine fourum for your specific motor.
