Tachometer setting for Nissan NS25C2

I bought a teleflex amega tach for my motor, a 1987 25HP NS25C2. What impulse setting should I use for it? Options are 4P, 6, 8 etc.

You have a 4 pole alternator on that model...Let us know if your tach works correctly. Usually aftermarket tachs are somewhat erratic.
