I have a 1968 55hp Chrysler outboard. It has a constant-current, three-phase, alternator-type generator with a self regulating output of 9amps.

I am looking for a tachometer that will work with this motor and electrical system.

Will a new tachometer work correctly with this old motor? And suggestions would be appreciated.

Brusay

Re: Tachometer

a tinytach from www.tinytach.com will.
it picks up the signal inductively. You wrap the lead around the sparkplug wire.

Call them at tell them you need one for an outboard, so they will send you the correct tach.

roscoe,

I purchased a tiny tach. Installed it today and it works great. Thanks again.

Brusay
