I need help on installing a trolling motor on my 09 Tahoe 195 DB. It is prewired for a trolling motor but does not have the aluminum pucks on the front deck. I would like to see some pics of a install on a195 and any advise as far as mounting plates, quick releases, trolling motor thrust and length would be appreciated. I have kicked around going 12v and 24v but am worried about the extra weight on the passenger side of the 195 but thought that I might need the extra power to get around in big water chasing stripers on topwaters. Could one battery be put on the same side as the starting battery and bridged around to the 2nd battery or is a 12v 55lb thrust motor enough. I am looking at the motorguide Xi5 with gps.
