Tahoe 216 thru Hull

Hi there, anybody ever have to replace thru Hull on 2010 Tahoe 216? In Alberta Canada and my boat mechanic tells me he has to remove the engine to replace the broken thru Hull for the live well. Can this be done without pulling engine out? Help!

if you can get back there, and get both hands on it yourself, then yes.

however probably not.

its about an hour of work to pull the motor.

while at it, I highly suggest upgrading to bronze or stainless thru-hulls as the plastic will fail again. average life of a plastic thru-hull is 5-7 years (a bit more if you keep the boat garaged).

OK thanks for input, they quoted me for 16 hours labour to do the job which seems crazy!
