Hey guys...I'm sick of working on someone else's trouble and am looking at buying a brand new fish n ski...I saw the Tahoe ad in Bass pro Shop's mag. Seems like alot of boat for a little money. Anyone have any experience with them? I'm looking at the Q4 SF. If I buy it, would you go with 3.0L I/O or 90 hp outboard (both are Merc)? Thanks!

Funny, the Tahoe web site shows only I/O power for the Q4 SF. No outboards. They do show a bunch of OB options for their Q3 SF. Starting with a 90. My idea of the most bang-for-the-buck would be the Q4 SF with MerCruiser® 4.3L 190 HP V-6 option. Among other things that option includes power steering.

Kelly Cook

Tahoe boats are fine and they are a good buy, they have been in business since 70's... More boat for your money. This was a small company out of Springfield, MO and back in 1998 "Tracker Marine" bought them (which makes Astro & Procraft & MAKO) and kind-a took them to upper level.

And they do have VERY attractive pricing!

New is new...

I may have been a bit confused about the outboard and the Q4. I'm thinking I prefer the I/O anyway. Thanks for the feedback. I'll let Y'all know how it comes out. Thanks again!

IMHO outboards are always a lot better choice for fishing. However, the prices for the Q3 with a nice OB like the 115 OptiMax are daunting. The Q4 with 4.3L is actually less money!!! Which pretty much makes the Q4 a slam dunk. Of course if your dealer can undercut the MSRP figures on a Q3 /w 115 OptiMax that could be a different game.

Kelly
