Having problems with the alarm going off and high oil pressure. starts up fine everythings good till I get on it. The alarm will go off and oil pressure is sky high. If i back off and sit for a minute it goes away but a few more minutes of throttel and its back agian? Its my dads boat and I havent even checked it out seens last summer. but i remember that being the problem.I also remember the motor shutting off when you put in gear a few times. I think its a 07 with VERY little hours on it. Iv had nothing but problems with this boat and I hate taking it out.

Welcome to iBoats. Some additional info might be helpful for the readers here.

- What is the oil pressure after cold start-up?
- After warm-up?
- When problem occurs?
- What is the engine temp when it occurs?
- What oil grade was used for last oil/filter change?
- Aftermarket filter or Merc or Auto?
- What does the oil on the dipstick look like? clean, black, white?
- When was it last done?
- Have any additives been put in the oil?

I wasn't aware that there was a high oil pressure alarm, I think mine just has low pressure. Maybe something in newer mercs?

Like i said it was last summer last time it was out or i even looked at it. Im gunna dig into it this weekend and answer all your questions. It is after warm up probably with in about 5 to 10 min of running 3/4 throttle, but I also remember smelling oil. Il take it out this weekend and see what it does.

10-4 thanks! Il let you know what happens. It only has about 30 to 50 hours on it and like i said nothing but problems. Do not ever buy one of these tell ur friends. I actually bought it from Bass Pro Shops and it had a hole in the bottom where they picked it up with a fork lift or strap from the side and busted the fiber glass.
