I have been searching thru the forum and have not found much info. I have a 2008 Q7I with the 5.0 turn key merc with an alpha outdrive the prop is still the factory 19 pitch alum. Well its time for a new prop and I am wanting to get the best performance prop I can get for my activites (mainly pulling the kids on a tube and crusing) I mainly ride in lakes and rivers. I am wanting to go SS so pretty much anything will be better than my old alum. What are yall suggestions on props.

Thanks, Brandon

Without your present performance info as suggested in the stickies at the top I would suggest The19"pitch Turning Point Hustler in aluminum; close to SS performance at AL prices. The only vented aluminum $136 including hub.Right here at Iboats.

By turn key, I assume you mean 5.0mpi. I dropped to a 17 pitch 4 blade and it runs great.

Ayuh,... Why is it time for a New prop,..??

If it's because you Chewed up the other 1,... You do Not want a SSteel wheel....
You'll be Trashing the Drive, rather than the Prop,...

Btw,... Welcome Aboard,..... :)

Brandon time for a hay ride in that new boat of your's..

1. get her warmed up
2. try to load the boat with a average number of people
3 run the boat to it's top speed WOT wide open throttle
4.record the speed and rpm...a little hand held gps would be nice if you have one at your disposal.
5. post your result's...you be given a lot of ideals..;)
