I boat this 14' aluminum jon boat from a guy here that I'm stationed with, and I am planning refinishing it, I was wondering I came across this photo and was wondering if any of you all could please help me identify it , it would honestly mean the world to me. Thanks a lot if you could please help !!

Look for a plate or sticker somewhere around the transom/stern/rear bench seat .
You may at least find a manufacturers plate with the model and hull # .
If you are lucky , and , it is a post 1972 built hull , you should find a Coast Guard capacity sticker with the model # , person capacity , weight capacity , and , maximum horsepower rating .

That picture seems to be a dealer sticker , and , looks to me as if it was applied over the former registration #'s .
If these are still legible , you can use these to find the make/model/hull# , and , maybe the last registered owner .

Good luck on your archaeology project there . :D

Any time I see an E, L, and an O in reference to boats I immediately think of ELTO, Ole Evinrude's company he founded in I think 1920 or so. Why an ELTO sticker would appear on this boat is anyone's guess. Maybe that bit of an E is for Evinrude, although as I understand it the ELTO (Evinrude Light Twin Outboard) name was a necessity as Evinrude couldn't sell motors under his own name at that time owing to having sold part of the company. I also agree it looks applied over some old reg letters.
