**Take apart throttle handle...how? 5hp Gamefisher

Does anyone know how to take apart the throttle handle on a 5hp Gamefisher? I want to oil the inside. I took all 6 screws out from the bottom of the throttle handle but something is holding the round rubber grip on the handle and I can't see anything that's holding it on. What's the secret???
I appreciate your knowledge!

Mr. Petty Officer....you are always asking for pics. There is no need for a pic. Either someone knows how to take the throttle handle apart on a 5hp Gamefisher...or they don't know how. It's as simple as that.

Lucky you, if you got some answer. If you use that kind of language I won?t help you.
Have worked with Chrysler/Force OB for over 15 years so I know what I am talking about.
But if it is "as simple as that". Go on.

Yep! Get testy and see what help you get. If I were you, I would apologize to Nordin. IF he will accept it you may get help. Your six screw statement confused me and I would have asked for a couple of photos too.

As a new member, you obviously don't understand exactly how difficult it is to correct problems on line without actually seeing them.

You have been "schooled."

It?s hard to believe how Pics help if you have not been a troubleshooter. Pics can mean nothing to you but a lot to an experience troubleshooter. I feel guilty asking for pics trying to help. From my own personal pics (not posted) I will see Etc that I had not noticed before the pics. Peace/Patience!

Never mind. I figured it out. I popped off the metal black/red band that has start...fast ect on it. Below was a horseshoe ring and then the handle split apart.

Ok, now I maybe can give you some help.
Have not worked on that model but there seems to be a retainer holding the grip handle.
You have a partsmanual at ishopmarine.com. Choose Mercurystore/sears/5hp(1996/1997)3.2 gallon remote tank/modelnumber/steering handle twist grip.

Answer to last two replies. Thankyou Nordin for the info on parts manual...I'll check it out, and I don't have any idea if a 7.5 is similar to a 5hp Gamefisher. Mine is a 1989.
