Taking on water?

Had great day on the lake today. Noticed that everyone was pulling their plugs and drianing for 2-5 minutes. I have no water in my bilge or any where under the deck.

Should I be draining the manifold everytime I come off the water? In the beginning of the summer we were launching about every weekend.
Is there any down falls if I don't drain the manifold for 4-5 weeks? Does holding water in the maniflolds prematurely rot the gaskets?

I am in the dry heat state Arizona!

I pull the transom plug on the incline of the ramp every outing, but my transom seal is leaking. I'll do the full drain in about a month before the rare freeze.

I don't drain the manifold except in winterizing. Generally, I pull the plug and drop the outdrive down to let residual water flow out of it, and that's all.
