Talon Side Bracket And CMC Jack Plate

Anyone else have any luck with mounting the Talon Side bracket to the CMC PL-65 Jack Plate? I asked the CMC customer service and they said that the Minn Kota Talon side bracket WOULD work with this jack plate.

So what's the story? CMC says yes and Minn Kota says no?

So far CMC says yes, I'm still waiting on a reply from Minn Kota. I know the sandwich bracket will work but would rather use the side mount bracket.
