Does anyone know if a plastic in hull tank is better than aluminum I have to pull it out and I don`t want to do this again. And did anyone pull a tank out of a 1999 17 foot outrage (whaler) yet ???? <*))-}

Re: tank removel

The plastic tanks won't rot, corrode and impervious to fuel, alcohol, water and additives. Aluminum tanks can corrode, especially if water is present, and old tanks often develop pin hole leaks.

So if you want to do the job once, then spend the bucks on a plastic tank. I think Moeller is pretty much the top dog in the plastic tank market. If the standard after market offerings by Moeller are not good replacements, then go check out the tanks at oceanlinkinc.com, they have a huge assortment of tanks to choose from. I bought my tank from them, they are great to deal with.
