Hey all,

I forgot to pull the plug on my boat this past winter and the tarp broke an allowed snow in. Needless to say I had water in the bilge about half way up the oil pan.

I drained the oil and it did not appear to have water in it but was darker than new oil. I did change it before storage so this may be odd but I don't know. I filled it up again and was able to turn the crank by hand so I don't believe it is hydrolocked.

I am hoping i got lucky but what else should I do before attempting to start her up.

I have a 2007 tahoe q4 with mercruiser 4.3 tks

Thanks

The main risk there is water in the starter. You might eventually have to replace it if it got water inside

the three things that you may encounter.

water in the starter
water in areas of the boat that are not supposed to get water in them
the added hundreds of pounds inside your hull and sitting on your trailer
