Are all brands equally good?

There is a significant difference in prices, and I've always wondered if formulations and specs vary enough to justify spending the extra $$ on the engine manufacturer's house blend?

I'll bet there are some facts and opinions out there....

thanks....later....kf

Kingfish,

There have been some other very lengthy posts on this subject: the last one-titled "Pennzoil".

Try a search using TCW-3 or Pennzoil.

Hello kingfish TCW3 is only the rating. waste no money on these so called magical mix oils. any major brand oil will never hurt you; all of these oils are made by two major suppliers and i myself have used them all. texaco -valvoline-quaker state,NO PROBLEM

Howdy, Kingfish.

Best bang for the buck: Wal-Mart SuperTech. Made by Pennzoil.

Good luck. :)

Re: TCW III General Question

Several years ago, Bass and Walleye Boats did lab tests on TC-WW3 oils to see the differences. All tested had different formulas except Wallmart and Exxon.
