I have a couple of 1947 Johnson TD 20s. The impellers look good but they are hard, not soft. Are these motors known for putting out a lot of water or just spitting out water. And is there a Sierra part number to buy these impellers. I also need to make new floats and seal them. What kind of sealer has everyone been using for this. Thanks for any advice

I think a float from a MERCURY outboard can be adapted for these TD motors.------Floats from the 1960 / 1970's models will work.

Sierra number for the Mercury float is 18-7208. Just drill a 3/32" hole through the center.

Brian Wilcox makes the pump rotors. call 810-794-7685 before 8 pm est please.Or email Baron0418@att.net. please note the b must be a capital.

Nitrophyl (plastic). You can cut or modify it without any need for sealing.
