Hello folks. I am now tearing my raw water feed apart to find all my impellar pieces. I think i burned up my flappers trying to tune it too. (I had water on it but the impeller was gone) I am trying to get a look at my flappers on a 470. The elbow bolts are in a bad location. Cant hardley reach 2. If i do get them out what do you think about me putting stainless steel bolts back in with antisease on them. I have read alot on the net about this but has anyone here tried it? The question is has anyone used ss bolts on an exhaust elbow? The regular steel doesnt seem to work so good>rusts up and seises.

Bad idea. Anti-seize and Marine environment don't mix

Not only your flappers but the insides of your rubber exhaust hoses.
