As everyone here, who have read my posts know, I have an old (Really old) mercruiser type II.
Right now it runs just fine, with a couple of exceptions, and I am happy with it. The problem down the road however is going to be how to keep it running properly. This is my first powerboat and I now realize that when I bought this boat I bought an old obsolete antigue. But I can't afford to do anything about that now so will have to make do.

I have tried to find manuals that apply to my type II but they have skimpy information and primarily address the engine. Does any of the Mercruiser teckies out there know if there is a manual specifically for the drive portion of my power supply? If so what do they call it? Maybe I can find one on Ebay. Thanks

Ebay can be good, but you have to watch regularly.

Re: Tech Manuals

Below is a link to Mercruiser for ordering manuals. If you don't have a serial number, they have phone numbers and email address at the bottom of the page.
You need manual #1 part number 90-68648, and it includes engine and drives. Cost is $36 + shipping from Merc.
Mercruiser Manuals

While mercstuff.com is a great site, it has nothing for your Type II drive.
