Hey All...i got this Ted Williams Twin Cyl. 15hp, Chassis # 217/58621-1
S/N 6A 106135. It has barely been used and looks close to new,It has not been started for many yrs. It even has the Org. plugs on it made in England.
So i hooked it up and pumped the bulb, after it got hard, some gas ran out of the hole that the choke is covered when on, Is this Bad???

Besides that..after about five pulls..It Screamed to life..and i'd say rather smothe. BUT, it will not idle at low speed, only at higher...i'd say 1/4 of the full speed.
Is this a Carb. problem?? and if so..anyone knows where i can get a carb. kit in Toronto? THANKS ALL

Thats a Tecumseh power head and rare.look up part numbers at sears parts then order at certified parts corp using those numbers. If ignition fails and it needs parts, part it out on ebay.

Be a smart move to get a Factory service manual and a parts manual for your fine eska engine. look in ebay, for carb parts . NOt in Toronto, but Port Charlotte Fl.

One gets the impression we have a spammer in our midst, a somewhat relevant spammer even.

Gas coming out of carb is bad.Indicate the float valve is not stopping flow of gas. Most likely gunk from sitting around. This could also be the reason it won't idle right. It is either flooding or the carb is gunked up affecting proper fuel delivery. You will need a service manual ;an aftermarket manual will do.
You may find one at the library.ebay is a good source as well.
You will need to go through the fuel system from tank to carb with special attention to cleaning. You will find parts are a pain and as I said before the ignition system is prone to failure and parts are basically non existant and very expensive if you can find them. You should replace the impeller on any motor that has sat for years. If the motor overheats could be ruined.
If it was mine I would get it running as best possible with little investment and sell it.Put the money toward an Evinrude/Johnson 9.9 or 15.
A proven reliable motor with a vast parts source some right here at iboats.
