Your post is a little confusing.Have you looked at the shear pin?<br /> Sears motors were built by a number a manufacturers we need a model number,Usually on the mounting bracket.You shouldn't attempt any rep[air without a service manual.

Well, The Drive shaft turns, and at the same time, so does the Propeller.... Has to be above the shaft! Right? <br /> Where it connects to the bottom of motor. Just wondering in advance what I may be getting into. Without buying a Manual at this time.

The Model number is 217-59440. Is a 7-horse Power. Not 7 1/2. Anyone have any info.?
