Ted Williams air cooled engine

Have recently picked up a 7.5 H.P. outboard, short shaft, old Ted Williams air cooled engine. It appears to have a Tecumseh engine in it (It looks like an old lawn mower engine). Would appreciate it if anyone knows what oil/gas mixture I use and what weight of oil. Thanks

Most of the ones with solid state ignition ran on 50:1 just fine. As you get the ones before solid state ignition you might want to use more oil like maybe 32:1 If the model number is still on it, call the 1-800 number for sears parts and ask if a manual is available.
