Ted williams lower unit question

McColloch version 7.5
I went to change the LU fluid yesterday. When I took out the drain screw a small amout of water came out. If Im correct are the seals starting to go? It was no more than a .oz or 2.

Could just be the screw gaskets should be renewed each time it is changed.
If it turns out to be a seal problem you could forstall changing them with more frequent lube changes.You might consider synthetic lube as it is more inviromentely friendly.

I dont think there was any screw gaskets. Would a "O" ring work? What type of syn lube would be good?
