I have a 1979 TEE-NEE trailer I bought with a 14' MirroCraft boat. People were asking where the serial # is. I found mine on the U-shaped cross member that sits above the axle about 12" inside of the streetside tire. It's a riveted on metal tag, oval-shaped about 2" long and about 1 1/4" tall. It states: "TEE-NEE TRAILER COMPANY, YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO, MFR'S SERIAL NO 47660".....When I registered it, for change of title, with MI DMV, the old license plate (which the prior owner had lost, but he knew the number of it), came out as being a 1979 Baretta (make) trailer, with a 300# weight limit. Does anyone know WHY the 'Baretta' name is stated as the make, and not TEE-NEE?

Welcome aboard.

I'm setting the time machine to 1979, but I need the month and year and location or I will be Lost In Space like Buck Rogers.

I hope you really aren't expecting any of us to be able say to why the selling dealer and DMV (whoever) called the trailer a Baretta 40 years ago. Some of us are pretty good figuring things out, but this is a stretch.

A Baretta is a boat not a trailer. I would guess at some time a mistake was made by whomever typed the info into the computer or hand wrote it on a form.

Orrrrr, the old owner didn't really remember the number after all.
