Hello all, i have a 2002 stingray 18LX with a merc 3.0L alpha one.

All my gauges on my instrument panel work fine except for my temperature gauge. I checked all the fuses and they look good. Do these engines have a temp sensor with a wire , if so where would that be located?
Thanks

There should be a brass temp sensor/sender at your thermostat housing. Should have one wire on a stud going to your gauge.

It's about a $25 part if you want to risk it and buy it from a dealer. You could probably get it cheaper at any parts store.

What is the gauge showing ? pinged all the way down, up ? does it move at all ??

Ayuh,.... Ground out the wire in BD's green circle, 'n the gauge should Peg, Hot,...

If not, check for Power at the back of the gauge, with the key "On",....
