Question for TMD. Didn't want to start new post because question is related to this post. I got a sending unit on ebay (brand new) . It has Chrysler PN A289449-1. Will this work on my 1970 55 hp Chrysler model 554HA?

The one you need is part number 817939a 1. It is epoxied onto one of the bolts for the head.

As for the part you bought it SS up to this number, so it will work.

TMD
