I noticed the same part number, some switches for sale have one wire and some have two. Is the 2 wire a more modern design and can it replace the single?
Also, to remove the old switch. Does it just pull straight out of the head?
Thanks

Re: Temperature Switch

The single wire with the spring, grounds directly through the switch element. The one with 2 wires grounds through a ground wire. The last type must not be mixed with the 2 wire switches used for quick-start functions.

Ok, thanks. How can they have the same part number?

Re: Temperature Switch

A modification that does not change assembly or function on previous or newer models will normally not change part number.
In cases where part number gets superseded - this means that new parts fits both old and new engines, but 'old' version and part number only fits older engines.
