termostat is to small for my volvo 5.o gxi-c 2003 year model

i order a new termostat for may volvo with wright part number but its to small and when i put into hull its not seat in up to the hull of the block it will be fall into of the block engine the hull.the measure of this termostat is abaut 46mm but must be 59 mm diameter the wright one.i order a new but answer to me the same part number which is false too small.where i can order the old termostat whith wright diameter...can eweryone halp me trhanks tomas

The thermostat is secured in the thermostat housing by an "O" ring which should have been included with the new thermostat. It does NOT go in the inlet manifold.

the thermostat simply fall into inlet mainfold because is to small,can t buy a biger one to fit this best regards thomas

Please re-read the above. The thermostat housing is the cast iron bit that the hoses attach to and sits on top of the inlet manifold.

Item 3 is the "O" ring that holds the thermostat in place in the thermostat housing. (there is a clue in the word housing)
