Terrible experience with cruzpro

I purchased a cruzpro rh110 rpm tachometer 2 years ago and it has never worked. Due to me having 3 kids and doing many other things on the boat I hadn't got round to getting it replaced.

Finally I spoke to cruzpro and sent it off to New Zealand to get repaired and they ripped me for $115 to fix a faulty part which has been faulty since the day it was purchased. It was out of warranty but they could care any less. Personally I think that is terrible customer service and also terrible testing to ship a product that never worked. I was going to buy additional electronics from them but am now thinking twice about it.

I have now read that others have had a bad experience with them, what's your experience been like?

Out of warranty is out of warranty. Should have taken the time to put it in while in warranty period and found the issue then. I know, hindsight is 20/20, but that's sometimes the price we pay. I'm installing a battery switch this weekend and hope it works, but like your item, its two years old and if its broken, I won't be asking them to replace it because even though I've never used it, It's probably out of warranty by now.
