Testing DVA voltage

Will this work for check the peak voltage or do I need to get the CDI version of this which is 3 times the price?

This should work on the AC scale of a decent VOM

just make sure you dont have a cheap voltmeter...i bought that ESI adapter and it wouldnt fit on my cheapie autozone meter...i ended up just buying the ESI DVA meter for $110

I was talking to a friend that does electronics repair. He said that I can use a Square D Wiggy voltage tester for this.

Anyone ever try it? I don't want to damage anything.
