I'm the one thinking of scrapping the 1995 195 Bowrider Sea Ray. Alright, thanks everyone for the advice and opinions. It's starting to make more sense to me to hold on to my current investment rather start over with something new. I am not very mechanical so excuse me if the terms are a little off. I found out that the carriers are all worn out inside the stern drive, so the seal kits would be a quick fix, but wouldn't hold in the long run. Should I just order a whole new outdrive? I am waiting for a quote back from some independent mechanics as well. They should be cheaper than a dealer. I would love to be able to effect the repairs myself, but it sounds like a big job.

Sorry...was looking at older thread.

If you do get a new drive, don't give away the old one. The parts that are good have value - whether you keep it or sell it is up to you.
