A quick thank you for the amazing service you folks provide for un newbee boaters.<br />re: 1980 Johnson 35 Seahorse motor <br /> Thank you very much. Thats great to know. Apperantly the motor sat in a storage locker for the last 4 years. I havn't done anything except pull the cord on it. It seems stiff to pull. Arethere any percautions i should take before I put fuel to the motor and start it?

mrmike, you could drain and fill the lower unit oil, change plugs, maybe put a little 2 stroke oil in the cylinders so they get lubed right away and fresh gas mixed 50:1.
