I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped me with all my issues with my engine. To break it down, in hopes of helping someone in the future:
I had water leaking in the transom very bad, and everytime I turned the boat while above idle, there was a terrible grinding noise.

Come to find out, as many on here helped me with, my drive shaft bellows were pretty much ripped in half, and the u-joints and gimbal bearing were shot.

I replaced the gimbal bearing, u-joints, all the bellows, as well as the impeller and lower unit oil (for maintenance, and not sure when the last owner changed it last).

Now, getting the outdrive on was a pain, but I gave it a couple kicks, like many suggested, and it went right on.

So, today, I got to take the boat out for the first time in over two months!! I was excited, but unfortunately it was only a three hour trip.:( It ran great, no issues whatsoever. I could not have been more pleased, and definitely could not have fixed this myself without the help from all the great people on this forum. Thank you everyone.

One last thing for the record, the exhaust tube is much better than the exhaust bellows. It sounds better, not too loud, but it's got a slight growl to it now.

Thank You Everyone!
