One of the reasons this forum has the reputation for expert moderation is the bunch of members who keep their eyes open all the time and report to us anything suspicious. That makes our job a lot easier and our forum a lot better.

I don't currently see the triangle in the posts to this thread. Is the triangle a casualty to changes that added facebook, et al links? Don't see "friends" now either. - Grandad

I don't believe anything in particular prompted JB's post. It's been a lot quieter over the last few months, but we get multiple "Reported Posts" every day. We get credit for being quick, when in fact it is often a member notifying us within minutes of an offending, or offensive, post.

Also, a lot of the spam we find comes from threads that we are individually subscribed to. Since most of us have been here a while, if a spammer posts to a thread we were active in then we see it just because it comes up in our individual subscribed threads just like yours.
