Wanted to thank everyone that helped with my 1963 75 johnson problems. also found a few things that made a difference. I now get almost 35 mph out of the baby. i have been taking the boat out on truman lake and she cruises very well. i know i can get a few more mph out of her so just need to do some final adjustments and should have it up to about 45 I hope LOL. a frind of mins was very suprised at what that old moto would do. tried to tell me it would be worthless. love to prove people wrong LOL. well he deserved it. Thanks again. also picked up 2 more of the same motor for only 470 bucks. one runs now and the other is a spare parts motor. always good to have spares.
