So i am getting ready to start working on the boat again and spending a tone of money again! Just have a few questions before i start doing so! SO as many of you may remember or those of you that have not i had a problem with my engine and low and high psi readings in the cylinders and coming to a conclusion of the heads needing to be adjusted but this is still a theory and real results wont be available during the boating season. So in the mean while i am going to start servicing the boat before the major repairs come in. So i am about to order a few things through amazon to replace the gimbals bearing and the bellows and trim limit switch and so on. So here are the links to where i will be purchasing where and what and i need your opinion if the will work and if they are good quality. So the link for the bellows kit is here: Amazon.com: Transom Bellows Kit with Gimbal Bearing for Mercruiser Alpha I Gen II similar to 30-803099T1: Sports & Outdoors
The link for the trim limit switches: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001F0M7L4/ref=gno_cart_title_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
the link to the gimbals bearing remover tool aka slide hammer : Professional-Grade Automotive Slide-Hammer Puller Set - Pulls Dents, Gears & Axles: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific
the link to the gimbals installation tool: Professional-Grade Neiko Bearing Race and Seal Driver Set - Amazon.com
and i will be using my Mercury Bellows Adhesive 92-86166Q1 that i have already purchased to nicely make a water tight seal up in there! Please tell me if everything im about to purchase is good and that i have everything to replace the gimbals and service it! Thank you in advance! :)

I personally would use mercruiser parts not aftermarket especially in critical areas like the u-joint bellows and the gimbal bearing. The extra cost is money well spent. It's just my opinion.

Opinion
Don't have any issue with Serria or OEM boots and bearings.

You can do it without but having a boot expander tool 91-45497A1 really helps
The gimbal bearing can be removed with a slide hammer so long as it doesn't **** a bit on the way out. Have a look here at some tools made uphttp://forums.iboats.com/mercruiser-i-o-inboard-engines-outdrives/homemade-gimble-bearing-puller-343060.html

The bearing driver set is a nice set to have around and use but in the previous link, folks have some other ideas

Ok thanks. I mean I am trying to keep down the funds for the boat since I need major money for the engine repairs. But if you guys say that siera parts are good then I'll go with those.
