The media wants you to forget...
The government wants you to forget...

Why else wouldn't they show pictures on a regular basis like this?
Why don't they racial profile?

Cause it will hurt a posy-sniffing, tree-hugger's feelings?

I don't know about you, but the thoughts, pictures and rage keeps me going. Makes me remember what the low-lifes have done. Makes me keep a sharp eye out on ALL foreigners who 'fit the bill'

Thanks for the link to the pictures. You'll never see them on CNN.

I didn't have any family in New York, but my condolences go out to all who suffered.

H.

WARNING If you are still sensitive to 911 please do not click on the links below

These links are some now famous photos that were taken by a family friend who just happened to be there and capture these dramatic images. There were widely used by the press so some of you may be familiar with them. The show the second plane just before and just after it hits.

I've posted links rather than the images to avoid exposing anybody to them that rather not see them. They are dramatic reminders of what was done to us on that faitful day:

WTC Image 1

WTC Image 2

Please do not copy, print, post or otherwise distribute the photos as they are copywrited by the photographer and I'm not sure what the deal is

JB's photo there got me to thinking...

Why didn't we leave the flags at half-staff until all these terrorists are caught?

The flag at half staff would be there as a reminder of that dreadful day, until everone responsible is caught.

Just a thought.

Kenny

Re: That we may never forget 9-11-01

Kenny,

Best way to remember is to keep showing the videos and images IMHO - we have to stay pissed off. The media won't show them and I think that does the nation as a whole a disservice.

I even censored the images i posted links to above and although it spares a few all in all it just helps us all forget and I don't think we should ever do that.

Re: That we may never forget 9-11-01

Hi Ralph,

Me personnally, do not wish to see those images.

I still see them every day in my head.

This is one experience in my life I wish I could erase.

Everytime I see an image of a person falling, I just can't stop thinking that I may have known that person, and how helpless I was that day in helping them.

All I could do was try to help anyone get away from the buildings, with those bodies impacting the pavement...I'll never forget.

The flag at half staff until all responsible are caught, would be enough for me.

I've said enough.

Kenny

I was in my office talking to a customer in
Denmark who told me a plane just crashed into
the WTC.... went and turned on the tube and
sat there stunned remainder of the day....
not ashamed to admit I shed a few tears that
day and the days following.
the economy still hasn't recovered IMHO.

"those who forget the past are destined to
repeat it"

Re: That we may never forget 9-11-01

Thanks to BrianFD and Ralph Spencer, for putting those photos on links instead of posting them for everyone to see.

I really appreciate that, as I am not the only one who would have been offended by those images.

BrianFD, I appreciate what you are trying to inspire here, and you did it with respect, thanks.

Ralph, I understand what you are saying, but there are alot of people out there that if they were to see those images everyday, would end up spending the rest of their lives in theorepy, and that would not be fair.

I personnally, try to remember things the way it was before the attacks, especially being I'm working on the replacement project and I am down there just about everyday, and I'm opposed to that atrocity that they are attempting to build in its place.

If they are going to build anything there, it should be a rebuilt World Trade Center, just to shove our resolve down those terrorists throats!

Kenny

They are preparing to build "FREEDOM TOWER" on the WTC site.

It is a complex of smaller buildings with a 1,776 foot tall tower.

Kenny

I found a pic. I agree it would have been nice to rebuild the towers and shove them in the face of evil. Though I understand why they didn't.

Re: That we may never forget 9-11-01

Kenny I hear you and respect your POV. I agree totally with the personal images of people. There is just no need for that. I am talking more about the images of the buildings them selves - the macro stuff if you will. I see that and I get mad ad it srengthens my resolve.

American's are quick to forget, hence all the second guessing about Iraq and the chorus of voices urging us to cut and run. After a while people forget and start listening to those voices. I hear some media outlets are planning on replaying their coverage of the event on 911 - If my theory is right, watch what happens to the public opinion poll number right after people are reminded...

Re: That we may never forget 9-11-01

Those photos sure bring back a lot of memories. I stayed in the Vista Hotel in between the towers. I have pictures of the towers, grounds and sculptures.

I can't believe they are gone along with all the people that died. So many people gave their lives to help save others.

Please remember the heroes of the last flight that knew what was happening and sacrificed their lives so that last plane could take no others.

SBN and others I am sorry for your loss. We will never forget.
