I have a Rivera inboard and when I put the back unit up, the next day it will lower itself. I'm new to boating and not sure if can check this myself. I see two hydraulic cylinder on both sides of the prop, and a hydraulic pump inside the boat. I dont see any fluid anywhere. The pump on the inside of the boat engine compartment has a red cap that I cant get off . Is this a fluid problem? Something that I could check or something bigger. Thanks for any help to lower the cost of boating, Boomer123

Re: The back unit is lowering

It is a 1994 G.W. Invader, Model, Rivera with a Volvo Penta 5.0 fl motor. The lower prop said Volvo Penta SX Series. The pump on the inside of the engine compartment has no listings, only a red cap with a yellow warning sign. I dont want to brake the cap because I'm not sure what it is. Thanks for help with the site and any other help with lower unit problem. Thanks Boomer 123
