Exacty the same way I told you to in the email...<br /><br />and without the typo's :)<br /><br />I have never used webtv before, so I don't know if you can be reading email and browsing web at some time.. or if you have ability to cut and paste... if you can't.. then that explains why you had no luck... I certainly didn't type them in by hand.. take to long :)<br /><br />rgds<br /><br />Frank

yeah, the boats look great don't they, (actually, I just realised that you haven't posted your other boat yet have you??)<br /><br />anyway, when I am on iboats, I have about 10 or 15 differnet browser windows open at any one time.. so I can read posts from "engines and motors", "boating" and the "stupid things people do" forums.. and swap back and forth between them,, I usually have some work applications open at the same time... so I can get paid. :)<br /><br />you should get a PC crabbait.. if you can work webtv and this board.. then you should have no issues with using a browser on a PC...<br />(their cheap as dirt now too...)<br /><br />Its possible that the limited html rendering and javascript of webtv stops the toolbar from shoping up on it.. that might be why you dont' have any toolbar...<br /><br />I know several of my sites either dont' work, or don't work properly in WebTV.. so its likely thats the problem.<br /><br />regards<br /><br />Frank

Crab - very impressive boat, well done! (more pictures on this thread too). <br /><br />Please do tell us a bit about her. How long did it take you to build. How does she handle, what HP is the motor etc ?<br /><br />That's the sort of project I'd like to try one day (when I finally get control of my garage....).

crab bait nice looking boat. one question how in the world do you steer it with the seat so far above the steering wheel? looks as though you would have to be leaning way down or steer with feet. is that the drivers seat or am i looking at the pic wrong?

I would guess you drive from the front seat. Gives it that "stick steering" type setup. Crab Bait?<br /><br />BL...

yea, when i saw it in a plan book ,only a single line drawin',,i knew i had to have her... the plans said wieght was 70 pounds. so even if it came out to 80 or 90 or 100 lbs. so what... i still could left it over gaurd rails & fenches so to get at the ponds without boat ramps..THAT WAS KEY .. also it has an inclosed bow for to install a troll motor & pfd storage underneath.. plus an open cockpit no bench seats..so you can see why i had to build her

so i started it in late august & wrapped it up holloween oct 31 for winter & started back april 1 & finish it up late may ... the frame is of african mohogany , the lightest of the mohogs. the hull is of 1/4 doug fir marine ply.. the top/deck is of 5mm ext. luan.. E V E R Y piece of wood in her has at least 2 coats of epoxy so EVERYTHING is totally encapsulated..

the outside hull is glass 7 oz cloth put on with epoxy ... then painted with a top side with the roll-brush & tip method.. the insides & deck are varnished over sanded > said < encapsulated epoxy.. i like the little 12foot duck/bass boat... but i don't love it... the main thing is ,,, it's nowhere near 70 lbs. more like 170 lbs. you me & a stout boy could hardly lift & carry it.. in that's the main reason i built her in the first place..

Re: The Crabman's boats.. (successfully posted.)

the steerin' system was my idea..it wasn't suppose to have it ... but i couldn't stop & went nuts an put one in..it's pretty cool sittin' up there .. it steers like a go-cart with the wheel 'tween the knees.. an it flat-out -flys with that 8 hp nissan..but i took the steerin' system out & brought the motor back to a tiller.. wasn't all that good unless ya had big BUBBA in the back...but all & all it's a good S T A B L E flatbottom.. it's amazin' with a 4 ft. beam how stable it is .. i field dress at around 225 lbs. at 6' 1 in.,, an i can stand on the deck & not flip over..( HEY HUBERT ,, looky here ) the seats raise up an it's a good little pond boat.. but i'm gearin' up to build another boat an have to sell her ... so thanks for your replys & hope you enjoyed it , thanks again
