After the golden dome mosq in Iraq was destroyed just yesterday, the Iranians wasted no time accusing Israel and America of having committed this crime.
Let this be a lesson for all of us.No matter what you do to improve the lot of these people. You will be attacked and slandered by the religiously controlled masses.Their leadership is threatened by western values and their leaders are willing to whip these crowds into a frenzy to the point of preparing them for a world wide war, which win or loose, their propaganda machine will always convince the masses that they are winning.
It is time to **** or get off the pot in Iraq and prepare for the biggie that is just around the corner.

The only way to bring stability to Iraq is to
bring it to the whole region. Which is what is
in the making today. Iran, Syria , Afghanistan, Lebanon,
the entire middle east. It is the bigger picture
Bush has been pushing. It likely will take generations
to bring it to fruition.
A civil war is in the cards for Muslims and Islam.
Let them kill each other under supervision.
They want to settle old scores. Get at'er.

I am not for war, but since I did not have anything to do with this, I agree with NOSLEEP.

I like efhenry's approach.

Dip every round of ammo into pig fat, and let it be known. Drop bombs that scatter pig blood all over their cities, and the crap will stop.

The country should have been split up from the beginning. The Kurds, by defacto, pretty much have.

Just another fine example proving Islam is a religion of peace! ;)

Re: The Golden dome destruction.

PW2,the power structure in the middle east has for the past 2000 years been one of foreigners ruling the local masses. The last time the persians ruled themselves was about 330BC.Then the Greeks conquered their land.after the Greeks came the Jemenite Bedouin tribes who introduced islam then the turks and then the British. Now there is a tiny sliver of very well educated aristocrats ruling these same masses.
An Egyptian friend of mine once told me that Egypt is a colony of Egypt. That sums it up for most of these countries. The rulers see themselves as overlords and demand complete submission from the masses. They get it through manipulation of religion, keeping the masses fed and non educated.
These leaders are happy to promote their political goals through the blood of their people and their people willingly submit to this. What is good for these leaders is what happens and in their pride they will sacrifice the commoners by the thousands. So yes, leaders will mislead their constituents. The leaders themselves are moslems but they see themselves as superior to their own people. This is a medieval world and extremely feudalistic at that.

rolmops the last division of property and the last drawing of boundaries was done by the west after WWII without the input of the folk that actually lived there.
whats your solution ?

so far our policy against communism and now terrorism have failed dismally although both follow the exact same lines.
any disagreement on the same line policy ?

Re: The Golden dome destruction.

Rodbolt,If I had a solution I would either be dead or a nobel prize winner, probably both.
But seriously. The lines were drawn after ww1 and the only reason we draw lines and try to pacify these areas is opportunistic and flows out of the 19 century imperialistic attitude where the west knows best and must educate the aboriginals.
The people that live there were rewarded or punished by the west for services delivered or denied.Sometimes both.
Europe and north America became stable areas because of a roughly simular judeo-christian culture and agelong economic interdependence.Add to that a balance of power and mutual respect for the same principals and peace is at your doorstep.
The middle eastern countries did not progressively develop to this point.Right until the 1920s they were in their dark ages of tribalism without resources. In comes oil and without a renaissance or enlightenment these tribal societies were thrown into the western 20th century. How's that for cultural shock? Not only are they lost, they also are taken advantage of by western oil companies.1973 puts an end to the power of big oil over these nations. Now they are really lost. They own the greatest resource in the world but most of them do not know how to read a map.
The new situation develops where some of the poor get educated to the point where they are smarter than their leaders, but are left powerless and poor by their leaders.Religions kicks in as the one and only stable value and falls in the hands of the frustated educated. We know the rest.
What is the solution?
I think there are 2.
The first one would be to try and educate as many as possible and try to create a new ruling elite that is secular and pro western.(example:american university Beirut Lebanon). This is still based on imperialist principles.
The second one is to try and disengage. This will allow them to have their own renaissance and enlightenment and eventually the forces of tolerance will become stronger simply because the fanatics have nothing left to push off against. This we can only do if we are willing to become independent of oil.
The moslem people have a great history of preserving all the greek philosophy and sciences while Europe was drowning in the dark ages. The Arabs added Algebra to our science. This got us to the moon.
Personally I believe that it would be best to set perimeters to retreat behind and let them sort out their own troubles on their own while we try to be a shining light of rationalism, visible to all
In the meantime we can prevent ourselves from slipping into our own dark ages where already today preachers tell us what science is and how it should be taught.
Last of all,we should stop acting as if we know better than the rest. The French do it to us and that is why we hate them.
