We got them thick in Central PA - a large year round population. Local Game Enforcement agencies and the Army Corp of Engineers have even held special hunts - in and around the launch ramps and camp grounds, to thin the flock some.

Yes, they are pretty tasty creatures!

Have you ever noticed that geese fly in a
"V" shape? Have you ever noticed that one side is always longer that the other? You know why that is?

There are more geese on that side!

Sorry, oldy but goody.
ha ;)

Hello M.Y.
I saw them too. At first I thought they had come out of Mendon Ponds where they winter, but these guys are just too many. Then I saw a breath taking sight. This one flight of them started to land in Irondequiot Bay and all of a sudden out of nowhere two big white swans swooped down on them. I have never seen geese scatter so fast and the swans went after them in midair for over a mile.Man these swans are mean territorial beasts!

Yep, Saw our first flock this mornin' too. Sure was good to hear 'em going over. The Ice is breaking up in the river too so April 1 is sounding like a good day for boating.
