That was my first forum circa 2005, lasted awhile after Wiley sold it, been there maybe 5 times last 10 years.

That's what I don't want this site to become, ad filled nonsense. Plus we have zero politics here which for me can be tough at times but I agree with that rule.

I'll pop over and see if I can stir up some s....

The main thing about the hull truth is it is biased toward ultra expensive salt water fishing boats with (to me at least) overpriced outboard power. If you run an I/O some think you're part of a failed cult or something, but in a large part of the USA and Canada as well I/Os are fine to use, they would be better without cat converter exhaust IMO, but I'll keep running mine till I have a really good reason to get an OB powered boat.

They also have a hard on for grady white for whatever reason. I've run a bunch of them. They're good boats but also not some god tier be all end all like they make them out to be. I was over there years back when we first got the 330 and it was like a cult, I agree. Didn't need that BS in my life.

Should companies run a forum website out of the goodness of in their heart, fund it for free. Fact of the matter no ads no website.

Grady is not even at the top of the preference list. When I see center consoles (for our climate in the Northeast are useless) with 3 300 hp outboards, that is a level of elitism that is a real turn off. I put my money into real estate, not toys, and I am pretty happy about those outcomes!
A good running Chevy small block with closed cooling is plenty good for me, even if married to an outdrive lol. When I look at the actual amount of repairs my Cobra system has needed as old as it is, I have to say I have no regrets! A few bellows, seals, rebuilt the trim cyls, steering actuator, that's it over 23 years moored in salt water. No complaints, just wish they were still supported parts and service wise.

I get the hate for bayliner. Seen first hand the ones that gave them that reputation and they very much were as bad as all the stories say... but it was realistically only a couple year window and that they are a budget minded option but you still get a hell of a bang for the buck with them. I almost had a bayliner. Have no problems with them just have to know the limitations and issues with them just like every other boat. The hatred towards that brand now still I'll never understand.

THT with ads? Not seen that...but I am a paying member...maybe that's the difference? VERY two-faced on their "no politics in the threads"; I see people banned for saying something like, "Biden was a joke", yet there will be 217 pages about I.C.E. raids...somehow THAT gets by???

THT is a commercial website with company sponsoring of certain forums.
Between me using Firefox and being a registered member, I never see their adds.
Many of their forums have very high end participants and the amount of regular online visitors is in the hundreds daily.
They must be doing something right.
