Just thought I'd start this thread to provide a little balance. Though I don't love everything the man does, I don't think he's a bad guy or the root of all evil in the world.

I do not totally disagree, I think he is not a bright as his father, surrounded with money people and corporate powers who have given him horrific advise to enhance their wealth. W is not an evil person at heart and I believe he thinks he is doing the right thing.

I don't know of any politician who is not surrounded by the many special interest lobbyists, they ALL go to Washington to feed their egos and enhance their wealth, what is most unfortunate for the American people is, this sort of malfeasance is interwoven and all too common in both political parties.

Bush is a stand up guy and he doesnt waver much. He didnt back down from the threat of terrorism.

I respect him a lot, and a disagree with him on several issues.

Clinton I have little respect for, but I disagreed with him less primarlly cause he didnt do anything and didnt have any major problems to face except the Monica problem.

Ken

If you live in America and your happy with your life hes not doing to much wrong. The only concern I have is that there has been a considerable deteriation between his public speaking in the later years. Is it me or does anybody else think he may have had a mild stroke?

I will support the President I helped elect and question only when I feel he is making a monumental mistake. Otherwise, I will let him do his job. I will not question every minute detail of his day to day decision making since unlike him, I am not privy to all the reasons behind those deicisons, I have to trust that he has my country's best interest at heart.....

.....and basically, I do.

I think Bush has had more on his plate than any other President in our history since he took office. Of course, there are things I would like to see happen a little faster, but I trust he will get to them as quickly as he can. The man's been a little busy.

First a depression (worldwide) and then WW II and a double front war.

Harry Truman had stuff on his plate. Came in cold, a dropped the ABomb...

I've worked for many managers of Bush's type. You always face new issues, but when you make mistakes on the previous issues, you've got to fix those as well as deal with the new. Make new mistakes you have to try to fix, as well as the ever present new issues yet, pretty soon you're working a 20 hour day and still can't get your head above water...

I voted for him, support him, and I'm glad I'm not him. Second guessing is so easy and yet non-productive. I'm glad America went after those that would do us in and I hope we continue.

I have said this before on here.
I support any President that gets in office.
I may not like his politics, but I will support him.
That is why I vote ever year. I get my .02 worth in that way.

That is the reason that America holds elections, to vote in the President.
Does the best man for the job always win, nope, sure don't. But, I will still support that man.
If only all Americans had that view, this Country would run a lot smoother and get things done, but I know I am just dreaming here.

It almost sounds like Plywoddy agrees with droping a atomic bomb on innocents.......how many died with that act of war PW2? So that act was ok? I know it was to stop any future American deaths, I agree good that was a good thing. But now when Bush invades Iraq to qwell any possable future American deaths you feel it was a bad thing..........I respect our president......Im not saying that I always will respect every one we have but I can say this I will not ever hope one fails so I can say I told you so like so many leftists seem to want to happen to Bush.

Re: The"I respect our president" thread.

I never said whether I supported Truman's decision or not. It is irrelevant what I think. He faced what he thought was a grave threat, and he acted. He did what planning he could reasonably do, made a decision, acted, and then off to the next crisis he faced.

Every president faces grave decisions and crisises. It is how he handles them that is important.

With that I will say that this is a pro-Bush thread, and to follow an old maxim, If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything...

With that in mind, I will shut up!
