Water is flowing in the pipes again! Hurray! Maybe not a big deal to you, but we have been without it for almost 2 weeks now! Was trying to get to the chatroom to say HI (long story, for condensed version see that thread), when I heard water running outside!

Went out to check on the guardmen, and there was water, beautiful water, running out the pipes! Not enough pressure to get it to the reserve tanks, but about 20 minutes of work with valves and hoses, and the "city" water is flowing through the pumps and up to the reservoir! If it keeps flowing long enough, we shall have water for at least most of next week! And we will even be able to water the flowers tonight - the place will be looking sharp tomorrow!

Re: The joys of water!

Water stopped flowing this morning, but not before I got both reserve tanks filled! 5000 gallons of clear liquid, am set for a couple of weeks, anyway. But I feel for the others around here that don't have reserve tanks. I will become a central source for water in the area if they don't "unlock the pipe" for a reasonable amount of time soon!

Ah, the joys of working in a village in a 3rd world country!

Re: The joys of water!

Radio just announced the water pipes will be locked (no water flowing) for at least 2 weeks! Hope they are wrong. Gotta hate the dry season!
