Greetings all, :D thanks for all your replies to The Matrix Affect. I think this might explain a few things!! I checked both spare props against that on my boat ALPHA 1 4.3L V6 1989 on an invader. I also noticed that the Leg is a counter rotation set up,the props how ever are right hand turning. So to sea i put for a quick trial. Gingerly i engaged the drive forward and low i did travel in that direction  but as before rather slow, i can only imagine this is because the thrust of the prop is insufficient because lack of pressure :p . So i am hoping that when i put on a counter rotaion prop ill be like sh*t of a shovel. Thoughts :) plse

With a counter rotating drive, you MUST use a counter rotating prop or the main thrust will be on the wrong bearings in the drive.
Sounds like someone along the line got a good deal on a Counter rotating drive and just swapped the cables over in the control to go the opposite way.
Either get a standard rotation drive for your present prop and put the cable back on the correct direction in the control, or get a counter rotating prop for the counter rotating drive and also change the control cable.
