You are probably gonna think this is funny.

As you probably know, iboats is preparing a new message board to replace this slow one.

All of the archives have been downloaded to the new board but it is not online yet.

Several staffers were asked to exercise the new board to see if there are glitches. They used existing IPs and member #s of other staffers.

One guy misunderstood the instructions and signed on to this, live, board by mistake.

He thought he was interacting with other iboats staffers in a test environment. Got a bit frisky.

That part of the problem is fixed. I have deleted all of his posts that I could find and a few referring to them as well. If you find any that I missed, ignore them.

Sorry for the confusion and consternation, folks.

You can go back to expecting only the best expert advice available on the planet. :)

Wasn't so fun at the the time to see all this bum advise and then be told by JB to chill out. Anyway, glad it's been sorted out. It is a great forum, thanks to both members and moderators.

Thanks JB and Stephens too! I was one that got a boatload of bum steer! Stephens stood up to iboats and I appreciate that. I was stupified.

One point to consider. It is easy enough to code all work done during set-up and beta test of websites, forums etc. to have a default statement "Test thread only for new iboats site please do not reply". Put this in the signature and no more problems!

Now back to boats!
