I have a 70 searay sunfire it used to have a 65 hp mercury but i replaced it with a 90hp mercury. The problem is that the part between the lower gear unit and the motor is to long(I think it is called the driveshaft case but I am not sure). is there a way to get a shorter one?
thanks alot,
Zac

Yes there is but it is very expensive.

you where probably supposed to get a 20" shaft and you have a 25" shaft.

I had this problem and I solved it buy purchasing a "lift jack" or "jack plate"

I got mine on Ebay used, but you can get them at any marina,

They look cool too!! :)
