The return of my old boat........

Today I purchased our old boat back after the family sold it 10 years ago.
Made it home no problem, even though I wish I would of used my Ford truck to tow it!!!

It is a '86 CC 210 LTD, and it is missing a few things. So, if any one out there knows where I can find parts, please let me know. It is missing the engine lid hinges and the plastic door under the windshield where you crawl into the cuddy area. Is there a boat "wrecking" yard anywhere?

Besides for a few missing parts, and some seat repair, it look pretty good with on 556 hours on it. I am going to put it in the water on Friday, and next Wednesday, I have a appointment to have it winterized and shrink wrapped for the winter ;-(

Pretty excited about "restoring" it to original condition, and bringing it back to the family again........
Any other advice is greatly appreciated..........
Bob

That's neat you found and bought it the boat back. Did you know who had it or did stumble across it?

I know there is one or two around Lake Lanier in GA and there are Several in FL. Some other members from FL can give you Company names...

Where are you located?

You can get "just about" anything on the puter if you thoroughly look and spend the time, might take a bit but has done well for me so far.

Hey, thats neat. Occasionally I see our old boat on the lake, and we got rid of it in 79.
could you track down any of the missing pieces from the previus owners?:)

You might have a hard time finding the original hinges for the motor cover but any marine store should have stainless hinges that would work for that.

As for the door, that would be an ebay hunt or a boat junk yard if you can find one.

Re: The return of my old boat........

Thanks for the replies,

I am actually in Central Oregon, and found the boat on Craigslist in California. It came up last December, and tried to get it, but the owner wanted to much. I guess he got a bit more "hungry", and put it back up in September. It has changed hands at least twice since, but was serviced by the same company for at least two owners. I am trying to get the service records, but the owner is Hawaii.

I am trying to find other owners of similar boats to get pictures, so I can find the right hardware, and I might have to make some of it. I know there is a "hull" showing up on the web that looks like it has some parts, so I might start there.

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know..............
