the right intake-exhaust manifold

I have a 77 mercury boat which originally came with a 2.5 engine. The guy I bought the boat from says it has a 96 3.0 engine in it now.I got the engine hot and had to replace upper exhaust boot.It started leaking exhaust around the exhaust manifold.I am going to change the gasket and surface manifold.I was just wondering on this 3.0 the ports dont line up right at all.Can you buy a manifold for a 3.0 or what do you have to do to get the right manifold for it?
