I have a very heavy single engine cruiser with a 454, bravoI set up. The boat weighs around 8300lbs. I am currently running a 16x16 pitch aluminum michigan wheel prop. I have a 16x17pitch Mirage stainless prop that I can get refinished and re-pitched. If I get the stainless refinished and possibly cupped?, will it perform better than the aluminum? I am sure that I am getting some flex with the aluminum and I was wondering if the stainless would bite better ?

Ayuh,... You could try it, but I wouldn't expect much...

A Big barge like that needs a Big Eared prop...
I believe yer SSteel prop is more of a Speedboat type of prop...

what stinks is that the 16x16 is about the biggest prop that I can put on the Bravo1.. What about the hydrofoils that i have seen people use on similar boats. Would that help keep me on plane at lower rpms?

Nope, not really...

Go for a set of helm controlled Trim Tabs....
Better yet,... Oversized helm controlled Trim Tabs....
