The river I fish was abot 2 feet higher. That means salmon and lots of them. The count from 6am until 7 pm 14 Chinook landed 5 coho landed and 2 rainbow landed. Whew what an awsome day. My legs are tired my back is worse so Im off to sleep to get up in the morning and go right back at it What about you guys

Hello Miloman, Great to hear you are having fun
with the salmon.
I took the boys out fishing on Sunday.
And I was hoping that the fish would cooperate
and my youngest he's 6, would get to have some
fun catching walleye. I rigged up one of my ice
fishing sticks for him. It is only 36 inches
long and it makes for a good beginners rod for a
little guy. So we arrive in the boat at a favorite
spot on the lake around 9 in the morning.
I hook on a little spottail shiner on a bright
orange stand up jig. And he drops it over the
side. We are fishn in 14 ft of water and before
the jig can get to the bottom, WHAM a beautiful
24in walleye hammers it. He was so excited. He
played it out and we released it.
The best part was the action never stopped, and
we fished till 6.30 yesterday evening. And the
three kids caught and released at least 25 fish
a piece. It was a great day, I know they are
growing to love our great sport. I am pleased that
the fish gods blessed our outing..

Re: the salmon are in god bless the rain

Last year I went fishing in Georgian bay with my fatherinlaw. We landed 8-10 fish I believe coho in about 4 hours what a great day. He is building a house in Owen Sound Right at the fish ladder oh how I long to be standing there with a timmys watching them run or better yet out fishing them. However I dont think we are gonna make the fall pilgramage this year due to wifes condition (pregnant  ). I do miss them salmon and have heard his story about the Bows but I have not had the pleasure of tangeling with one of them yet. Makes me kinda homesick if ya know what I mean knowing them fish are jumping a couple of hundred yards from his house.

I guess I'll have to cope so go ahead and give us the details about sunday.

Do the words BITE ME! mean anything hehe
Hey it sounds like a blast! :)
This is a confusing time of year for us! Deer season starts next weekend but the Satsop river zig-zags all across our hunting area! Your following deer, bear or cougar tracks then WHAM your at the river again... you see that little ripple going up stream! Yup 3 ft Salmon... back to the truck and your fishing.. worse yet after it takes the hook your running up and down the river trying to land a 15-20 pound salmon on 4lb line! RUFF life :) :) :) but good exercise! Oh yes the next morning your up at 5am cooking breakfast talking about the mornings hunt..but that DARN river is in the back of your mind :)

I hear ya link isnt it the best when those monsters run up current I use 4lb florocarbon on an 8 foot lead with an indicator. All you have to defend yourself with these monsters is your feet to run up current and your back. But man isnt it just the best feeling
